It's your typical Subway, but without some of the toppings I would normally go for (they have no spinach). The food tastes fresh & the servers are quick to build your sub, but there is nothing over the top about this place. On another note, their bathroom is very clean & accessible when you need it.

Of all the Subway's I've been to-this one is exactly the same! (Surprise) I Guess that's why you go to a chain fast-food restaurant. In this particular location, I was scrambling to find lunch so i settled here. The special of the month was some chicken sandwich which I Tried. Not only was the chicken soggy (ew!) But it just lacked flavor. The service was fine, but you only really interact for 30 seconds tops, as per usual. Do yourself a favor and walk down the hill another block (Al's Deli/Wan Convenience...need I say more). You will save yourself from feeling like a blob.

This is your typical, average, run of the mill Subway, and the one that I frequent the most due to its proximity to my work place. I always end up going for the 5 dollar foot long (any any any) due to my frugality. You'll probably have to repeat yourself two or three times as you choose what toppings to put in your sandwich (how hard is it to understand "all the veggies except for cucumbers and jalapenos"?), but that's consistent with my experience at other Subways - I wouldn't expect anything more from these "sandwich artists." Also, keep an eye on your sandwich, as I've had my sandwich get swapped with that of the customer in front of me one time (who had ordered a disgusting, plain bread and steak sandwich - yes, bread and meat and nothing else).

Where do I begin with this place? First off, I went here for a sub one Sunday when Wan Deli was closed (seriously, why would you even buy anything from Subway when this place is two blocks up the street), and got home only to find that the "freshly baked bread" on my foot long turkey sandwich was stale. And when I say stale, I mean so hard on the ends that it crumbled into little pieces when I tried to pull it off. How's that for gross?!? In addition, if you walk down the street at night when the trash has been put out, you will notice that there is a rather larger colony of rats that live right beneath the restaurant. I watched in awe one night as about five rats ran back and forth from a hole in the foundation right below the restaurant to a pile of trash on the street. It was truly an incredible experience and I haven't been anywhere close to the place since. Now why does the place get two stars instead of one if it's truly as nasty as I claim, you ask? Well on the fateful "crusty bread" visit mentioned above, the guy behind the counter displayed a great act of kindness to me that was totally unexpected. The night before, while eating dinner at Flames (my home away from home) my friend and I ended up taking each others Citizens Bank debit cards. So imagine my surprise when I get into Subway, attempt to pay for my food and it gets declined. The guy behind the counter didn't even look at me like I was a piece of crap and told me to take my sandwich and pay him when I had the chance. Not what one would expect from an establishment in cold-ass Boston.

Your average Subway, nothing too crazy to report here! I generally stop in once a month for a tasty sandwich from unfriendly workers. The food isn't awesome, but it's not the worst - it's just alright fast food quality. Has anyone noticed the steak and cheese is extremely salty? I love the sitting areas in the front of the restaurant, though. It's great to chow down and watch the Mission Hill'ers walk by. Watch out for the lunchtime rush, though!
